"The F-type might have made the most headlines of late, but the XJR is the most representative car of what modern Jaguar is all about. The Jaguar F-type is the brand's first two-seat sports car since the E-type, first launched "

We’ve been fans of Jaguar for a very long time now, but when the Solihull stars announced the Jaguar XKR-S GT a couple weeks back we were instantly sent into a slathering fit of auto phantasy.
Aimed at some seriously glamorous hooligans (and probably mostly American hooligans) only 30 of them are going to be produced. So, this is not only probably the phatest, most aggressive production Jag ever – it’s also going to be the most scarce.
Sometimes the tech details read like a lustful litany. We thought we’d share (almost) unedited.
“XKR-S GT features bespoke aerodynamic aids for a maximum downforce of 145kg. Carbon ceramic brake system comes as standard – a first for a production Jaguar. Bespoke adaptive dampers are eight-way adjustable with race-derived twin spring system. Front track, camber, bushings and steering ratio are all revised for high-performance. GT Six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters give drive to an active electronic differential. The car is powered by Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing 550PS and 680Nm. 0-60 takes just 3.9 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 186MPH. oh, and those are 20-inch forged, lightweight alloy wheels with Pirelli Corsa tyres.”
Phew.Call me a cab!
