It’s obviously a chopped version of the rump Simca Rancho- which in turn was almost like a budget, down at heel version of the Range Rover – with a strange european accent and a toothpastey paint scheme.
There’s something horribly whimsical about the concept of a beach runabout specifically catering for the windsurf clique – and you can tell that getting cosy in the flatbed would have just felt so right – especially in a red white and blue lycra onesie.
Cue up the Yacht Rock goddammit!
