Ferrari x Pininfarina
They go together like pasta and sunshine.
Over the last six decades virtually all of the Prancing Horse’s marques have been styled by the house of Pininfarina.
In an interview in 2002 to mark 50 years of collaboration Sergio Pininfarina (the now sadly deceased son of patriarch Battista) was asked to choose his ten favourite offspring from this marriage made in Italy.

- 1952 212 Inter Cabriolet The start of a long and fruitful union
- 1960 250 SWB: a hard-edged racer at the weekend.
- 250 GT B Lusso “Under a refined, less tough exterior than most Ferraris, she hid the character of a Tiger” SP
- 1966 330 GTC 330 GTC At 40 years old this was Sergio Pininfarina’s first Ferrari, he said of it ” I used it everyday, in all seasons, everywhere. Unforgettable!
- 1967 206 Dino This was the first mid engine Ferrari and according to Sergio was “…possibly the car that the greatest influence on Ferrari sports car designs…”
- 1968 Daytona: The last of the front engine Ferraris for 28 years Sergio describes it as one of ‘…cleanest and most aggressive berlinettas in terms of style”
- 1971 365 BB: The first very powerful mid engined Ferrari
- 1984 Testarossa : This change in direction in Ferrari design was motivated by searching for solutions to technical problems which “..brought about innovative design features that were very distinctive.” SP
- 1992 456 GT ” …is in my view a timeless beauty” We don’t neccessarily agree Sergio
- 1994 F355 “Is one of the best Ferraris ever built; its performance is even better than its tough, aggressive appearance suggests.” SP
- 1996 550 Maranello: Technical advance meant that the engine could move back to the front of the car without sacrificing performance, which allowed the creation of a car that combines ” …innovation, functionality, comfort and performance” SP
- 2014 California T : A Prince among convertible tourers. If Sergio was still alive no doubt he’d be very proud
